Key missions

Direct the work of all personnel in his area, initiate requests for spare parts, special tools and the like, maintain equipment maintenance records, direct maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment including disassembly and reassembly, diagnose mechanical problems with analytical instruments, perform and/or direct preventive maintenance and/or overhauls defined in the preventive maintenance program using workshop facilities, ensure safe working conditions for his personnel. Fully adhere to Fire & Safety Regulations.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Plan daily workload of all maintenance personnel in his area as needed
• Assist in establishing the work schedules in his area
• Perform Maintenance works in Refineries and/or chemical plants repairs of stationery refinery equipment such as steam boilers, heat exchangers, vessels, towers, direct fired heaters, tanks and associated piping of all the above equipment

Candidate profile

• Science graduate or Diploma in relevant engineering discipline and Diploma in Industrial Safety
• Equivalent to HND, HNC in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 12 years experience in the maintenance of stationery equipment with a minimum of five years in the supervisory position
• Shall be well aware of basic refinery safety aspects and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Have skill to disassemble and reassemble machinery in accordance with specifications
• Should be capable of read & understand the engineering drawings and execute the work accordingly
• Have capability to direct several people working on different jobs in the area
• Be able to decide on the necessity to repair or replace parts
• Capable of group communications to direct and co-ordinate work
• Possess analytical capability
• Read, write and speak in English fluently
• Excellent knowledge in use of computers and related software (MS-Office..etc)
