Join our team as a Mining Innovation & Automation Supervisor and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the way we extract resources while ensuring safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
As a Mining Innovation & Automation Supervisor, you will work with the MIA Coordinator in the maintenance, planning & implementation of automation systems in our mining operations. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our processes, reducing operational risks, and optimizing production efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.

Maintain commissioned Projects, existing communications infrastructure, Production Monitoring, Automation, data transfer and Tracking systems

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop implementation strategies, and define project scopes.

Provide regular reports to management
Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities
-
Qualified tradesperson in the Electrical Maintenance field (desirable).

Previous experience in a supervisory role in a heavy industry maintenance environment, preferably associated with Mining.

Understanding of mine infrastructure and logistics systems.

Training and experience in WLAN/LAN networking installation and fault-finding, including Fibre Optics.

Familiarity of Voice communications systems (UHF, VHF), and network configurations

Have experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance systems. (SAP)

Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, Excel & Word.

Please note: This is a permanent full-time residential role at our Cadia mine site, on a 7D/7X/7N/7X roster.
