Job Description:

Data Scientist with some data engineering responsibilities:

• Make datasets and data sources interoperable using the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles.
• Datamodelling, creating data mappings, implementing standards, clean up data and implementing reference datasets.
• Setting up data architecture and tooling with the architecture team.
• Optimising data flows.
• Independent thinker who can fit well with a team!
• Fluency in a local language (French/Dutch) and English

Skills required:

• Knowledge of health and health data
• Experience with analysis of data sources to apply FAIR data principles
• Experience annotating data and metadata
• Experience with Git, Python and Linux
• Graph databases and semantic web
• Experience with standards (such as OMOP, DCAT, ICD-10, FHIR, SNOMEDCT )
• Knowledge of agile methods and frameworks such as scrum or kanban.

Work Location: Brussels, Belgium
Contract Duration: 6 Months
