Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager supports the administration of all human resource management policies and activities in the areas of attraction, learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and exit management.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide HR administrative support including; personnel record keeping and policy administration
- Work with the school leadership team to identify people resource needs and recruit staff to fill those needs
- Coordinate background and medical checks for new hires
- In consultation with the School Administrator, prepare job descriptions, contracts, offer letters, and other HR documentation
- Coordinate induction and orientation of new staff
- Manage employee benefits including Group Life and Medical Insurance
- Work with school leadership to set performance objectives and conduct periodic appraisals
- Work with school leadership to identify skill deficiencies and organize learning and development programs and training to ensure continuous professional development
- Drive implementation of school policies (disciplinary, dress code, attendance, leaves, benefits, etc.) among all staff
- Respond to employee queries and resolve complaints related to HR policies and health plans. Refer complex complaints to the School Administrator
- In consultation with the School Administrator, regularly review human resource policies on recruitment, disciplinary, performance management, compensation and benefits
- Update the company organization charts as required
- Monitor and keep a record of attendance records and report patterns of tardiness and absenteeism
- Monitor and manage activities related to staff birthdays and general staff welfare
- Issue and maintain a record of disciplinary actions meted out to staff
- Prepare weekly reports and send them to the School Administrator
- Stay abreast of employment laws and communicate with the School Administrator
- Monitor and record staff resumption and attendance
- Monitor adherence to dress code policy
- Prepare and submit reports to the School Administrator on events that occurred in all aspects of HR for the week
- Keep a record of staff benefits as well as disciplinary measures
- Send a list of staff birthdays for the month to the relevant department
- Collate attendance records and facilitate the processing of salaries
- Manage staff welfare
- Advise leaders on the schedule for performance appraisals, goal setting, and learning and development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 3 - 5 years experience in HR-related capacity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Shows active judgment
- Knowledge of the Nigerian Labor Law and other policies
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- A high level of self-motivation and strong interpersonal skills
- Evidence of personal commitment to professional development
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellence in service delivery, focus on quality, and attention to detail
