Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and maintain the first aids room/clinic, medical supplies, and medical equipment
- To do and submit the weekly and monthly medical statistic report
- Ensure that all first aid/clinic and emergency medical equipment is serviceable and rectify any deficiencies
- Handle emergency trauma / cardiac cases, especially for ambulance call cases (Emergency Medical Team-EMT)
- Liaise with Doctor with respect to injury and sickness reporting
- Examine, diagnose, and treat minor/general illness
- Perform medical and small surgical procedures - Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), intubation, suturing, applying Plaster Of Paris (POP), circumcision, etc.
- Ensure medical facilities availability and calibration were done
- Operate medical equipment. -Patient monitoring machine, Pulse Oximeter, NIBP, Defibrillator / AED, Transport Incubator, E.C.G Machine, etc.
- Conduct counseling/health education / talk to staff
- Ensure all medication in orderly and readiness to use
- Involve as a Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid trainer/facilitator to give training to staff.
- Assist the Medical Officer/HSE manager for preparing reports
- Advise HSE Departmental managers of injuries or the sickness that involve their respective departments.
Job Requirements :
- Minimum Diploma in Medical Assistant and Registered as a Medical Assistant with the Board of Medical Assistant, Ministry of Health, Malaysia
- Minimum three (3) years of working experience post-graduation with a minimum of one (1) year experience in an emergency unit, trauma unit, or similar settings within the past 3 years
- Excellent communication and written skills in English
- Willing to work at Samalaju, Bintulu
