This position plays a crucial role by providing guidance to our leadership team and their teams in Panama, Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago by driving effective implementation of the HSSE standards across our sites (depots, warehouses and offices). This position will also play an important role in the evaluation and control of the HSSE integrated management system through internal audits and inspections.

The implementation plan shall be integrated to all administrative, business and operational processes. This will involve building strong, effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all the organizational levels.Provide assurance that risk is effectively managed through delivery of operations following Safety-Compliance-Profit (SCP) guidelines.Monitor and promote compliance with the HSSE Management System. Build a HSSE culture across our organization, based in our principles and values.Understand the international standards such as ISO, OHSAS, TAPA, BASC, AEO that will be applied to our processes and identify applicable HSSE local legislation to Maersk. Provide support in the correct implementation and fulfilment of these standards and regulations as well as Maersk's own internal standards.Give support to the different areas that make up the organization, in the incorporation of HSSE standards in the design of work processes such as (work instructions, procedures, guidelines, general formats, among others) as well as guide their correct implementation.Organize, coordinate and carry out training for employees on Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment and Security topics.
Also, provide HSSE induction to new hires.Carry out internal audits in all areas of the organization, in order to evaluate and monitor compliance with Maersk's HSSE standards and international standards when applicable.Carry out or supervise the execution of audits on third parties (suppliers identified as critical for the operation and performance of our services) in order to verify compliance with the Quality Agreements, Security Agreements, among other agreements defined between Maersk and the supplier.What we are looking for: Industrial Engineer or similarHSE Specialization or experience in these areasSecurity knowledge or experienceKnowledge on ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, OEA, BASC, TAPAAuditor skillsLanguages: English and SpanishLeadership Experience managing direct reports.Process Oriented / Detail OrientedAbility to identify process improvements and drive improvements.Customer-oriented with experience working with multiple stakeholders across borders, building and maintaining strong relationships.Comfort/experience communicating and influencing across multiple stakeholders and able to write convincing narratives, using data and analysis to back-up recommendations.Problem solving and analytical skills and ability to diagnose and drive solutions in a complex and ambiguous environment.Who we are: A.P.
