The Executive Director of Online Graduate & Professional Admissions will serve as a key member of the Vice President’s leadership team. The role serves to provide leadership, industry expertise, and overarching supervision of the recruitment efforts within the Office of Enrollment Management. The primary focus of this position is to ensure overall enrollment and revenue goals are met by providing vision, innovation, and leadership that enhance and support APU’s recruitment for all on location operations.

Required Experience

  • Minimum seven - nine years of progressively responsible admissions management/leadership experience and demonstrated success in leading a diverse team of enrollment professionals who consistently meet or exceed institutional enrollment goals.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with all levels within a comprehensive institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service.
  • Experience using database systems and data analytics to inform strategic decisions.

Primary Duties/Essential Functions

  • Build, develop, and lead a diverse workforce in a Christ-centered, multicultural community that values and seeks individuals who are committed to diversity and engage others in ways that honor our rich cultural mosaic and biblical foundation.
  • Direct and leads overarching supervision and operations in Azusa and the Regional Campuses.
  • Oversea strategic enrollment and recruitment projects in Azusa and at the Regional Campuses. This includes outreach efforts, communication development and execution, social media activity, recruiting policy and procedures, and annual competitor survey development and publication.
  • Ensure uninterrupted recruitment office functionality to support the university’s graduate and professional enrollment and revenue goals at all locations including Azusa and the Regional Campuses.
  • Direct and leads the recruitment division in the midst of ever-changing technology. This includes hiring, training, coaching, and providing professional development direction, etc.
  • Strategically partner with Regional Campus leadership to drive a continuous improvement culture with effective training and professional development programming for all recruiting staff.
  • Strategically partner with faculty and leadership in the schools for effective promotion of academic programs at Azusa and Regional Campuses.
  • Actively seek solutions for recruitment focused issues and effectively provides seamless, excellent service for graduate and professional students.
  • Partner with academic leaders to effectively launch new programs in Azusa and supports the launch of new programs at the Regional Campuses
  • Partner with marketing leadership to maintain an effectively marketing plan to promote programs for enrollment growth at all locations.
  • Collaborate with all university enrollment departments and faculty governance bodies to successfully implement new programs and growth initiatives.
  • Travel to and attends relevant industry related conferences to keep abreast of current enrollment management and recruitment trends.
  • Responsible for proactively communicating recruitment policies and procedures to internal and external constituents.
  • Provide accurate and timely data and partners other members of the enrollment management and the office of institutional research in data analysis.
  • Model exemplary leadership, management, problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
  • Support, affirm, and sustain the beliefs, values, and mission of the university in all facets of leadership and through the university's daily living expectations.
  • Required to work one Commencement each year (May or December)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Availability to drive and travel locally, and on occasion, nationally.
  • Must be currently licensed to drive in the state of California.

Visual Demands

  • Computer monitor and reading.
  • Reading/viewing instructions, documentation, and printed application materials in both physical and digital formats.
  • Ability to drive and travel locally within the community and to other APU facilities.

Environment

  • Pleasant office, comfortable temperatures.
  • Multiple conversations and transactions occurring simultaneously.

Technologies

  • Proficient in Google Apps., Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Familiarity with Slate CRM preferred.

Compensation

  • Grade 19: $105,840 - $121,716 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
