Valmet is now looking for a Manager, Sustainability to join our corporate sustainability team and to contribute to our agenda implementation and external sustainability reporting initiatives.
As a Manager, Sustainability, selected person will:

Act as a project manager in agreed development projects related to Valmet’s Sustainability 360 agenda implementation.

Work together with cross-functional teams, facilitate collaboration and discussions to lead sustainability related projects forward.

Manage Valmet’s EU taxonomy reporting process and contribute heavily to other external reporting projects including CSRD implementation and disclosures to selected sustainability indices (e.g. CDP and Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)).
We believe that you have:
-
a master’s degree in a relevant field.
-
a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability, giving you a good understanding of (at least 2 of) the following areas: sustainability reporting, EU taxonomy, CSRD, Carbon footprint calculations, CDP and DJSI.

fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

positive and solution-oriented attitude, with strong project management skills, and the ability to work both in a matrix and independently to deliver results.

Structured way of working and excellent communication and networking skills.

Can-do attitude and practical hands-on working style.

Manager, Sustainability reports to Vice President, Sustainability and location of the position is preferably our head office in Espoo, Finland, but other locations can be considered.
