SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
The Finance Senior AP Specialist is responsible for assisting to Finance Manager in the performance of the Department’s function and duties by rendering a comprehensive service to Lindsay Sulama. He/she will be responsible and accountable for the general controlling of the Supplier Invoices, Tax Reporting.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES:
As an employee of Lindsay Sulama, the employee’s responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Responsible for entire Payables function (local and foreign Suppliers), including:
Purchase Invoices- Post and pay all supplier invoices accurately and in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconciling invoices against our internal PO system.
- Liaising with managers and suppliers to resolve invoice query
Purchase Prices
- Ensure purchase prices defined and in line with PO’s
Fixed Assets
- Control and Post Fixed Asset Invoices
- Run Fixed Asset Report in a monthly basis
- Run depreciations
- Payment List
- Accurately prepare weekly payment list and report to superiors
Control Framework
- Ensure the internal control process is up to date
- General Ledger Maintenance and Reconciliations
- Assistance in the rendering of the entire General Ledger function (including upkeep of the general ledger (journals, follow-up, clearing of all balance sheet accounts).
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, posting of supplier invoices.

Legal Compliance
Ensure compliance with all the applicable rules, regulations and laws in respect of Lindsay Sulama, its business operations and corporate governance responsibility when performing professional Bookkeeping. This includes but is not limited to:
- Sarbanes Oxley;
- Foreign Corrupt Practices Act;
- US GAAP ;
- VAT and Tax Legislation.
REQUIRED STANDARDS (JOB HOLDER AND HIS/HER DEPARTMENT) IN TERMS OF MEASUREMENT / KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI’S):
All tasks must be submitted before defined deadlines meeting preset quality requirements

Skills (Technical, Behavioural and other):
- Analytical skills. To assist senior executives in making strategic financial decisions.
Communication skills. Excellent communication skills are essential in order to explain and justify complex financial transactions.
Detail oriented. In preparing and analyzing reports such as balance sheets and income statements good attention to detail is required.
Mathematical skills. Must be skilled in mathematics and accounting. An understanding of international finance and complex financial documents also is important.
Organizational skills. In order to deal with a range of information and documents the job holder needs to stay organized to execute his/her tasks effectively.

Education/ Qualification:
Preferred/Recommended: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting,
Experience:
