WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time, Evening Shift

Wednesdays-Sundays, includes weekends

8-hour shifts, 3:00pm-11:30pm

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Admitting department is the go-to department for the medical centers, providing services to patients and staff for inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary departments

Long considered the ‘problem-solver’ for the hospital, we pride ourselves on the highest level of customer service with quick responses for resolving issues from units and patients

Admitting supports all inpatient and outpatient areas in the hospital

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of an integrated staffing model, provide reception and scheduling services

Verify demographic and financial information through pre-registration process

Complete patient registration including obtaining consent for medical care and financial agreement

Serve as the primary resource for coordinating the daily patient flow and providing patient support services

Perform specialized clerical and technical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care including triaging patient telephone calls to clinical staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR equivalent education/experience
