To continue our growth and success, the company requires the services of a Plant Operator/Yard Attendant to work out of our Fredericton location.
The duties of the position will include:
- Ensuring the concrete batch plant is operating efficiently at all times.
- Providing basic maintenance on the plant and the ready-mix trucks.
- Identifying any major repairs to equipment that may be required.
- Ensuring the aggregate bins are full at all times.
- Ordering chemicals and other materials required in the concrete-mixing process.
- Operating a front-end loader.
- Maintaining the yard, including general cleanup, snow removal, upkeep of the shop, and similar tasks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Well organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating a front-end loader.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license.
- Knowledge of safe work practices.
- Demonstrated history of punctuality and strong work performance.
