Drury Motor Lodge is seeking a motivated and experienced Motel Manager to join our team at Drury, Auckland. Position: Motel Manager
Location: Drury, Auckland
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all guests, promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Manage and train a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones.
- Maintain the motels financial health by monitoring expenses, analyzing financial statements, and implementing cost-control measures.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to promote the motel through various channels and increase occupancy rates.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and guest inquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may occur, ensuring guest satisfaction is maintained.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a motel manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of motel operations, including front desk procedures, housekeeping standards, and maintenance requirements.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and hotel management software.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure smooth motel operations.
- A degree or above in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of working experience at a management level in hotel/motel/lodge
