As our new IT Business Consultant – Manufacturing Execution Systems, you will play a key role by delivering manufacturing execution solutions (MES) to support our manufacturing business. In this role you will build and maintain strong partnerships with different stakeholders.
You will work in our plant in Koropi, Greece, reporting directly to the local Head of IT while reporting functionally to a Regional Manager in Ingelheim, Germany.
FURTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Together with our global MES team, you are working on the transformation of the existing MES landscape towards a cloud-native architecture based on OpenShift / Kubernetes and PostgreSQL
- In addition, you contribute to the automation, integration, standardization, optimization and operation of the MES solutions to be implemented on the basis of our existing MES templates
- Support within the system life cycle (design, planning, implementation and run) of specific local and global manufacturing solutions
- Work in close cooperation with our functional architects for demand management and project prioritization, which includes organizing, identifying, and recording requirements
- Lead small to medium manufacturing execution implementation projects at our production sites on a global level in cooperation with other IT units and the business community
- Make innovative recommendations for the automation, integration, standardization and optimization of manufacturing execution solutions in your area of responsibility.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM:
- At least 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the environment of production processes with a focus on IT systems or engineering
- Very good knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows/Linux operating systems, Citrix) and database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
- Good knowledge of Docker or RedHat OpenShift / Kubernetes
- Knowledge or first experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (especially Körber PAS-X 3.2 or 3.3) Advantage but not required
- Strong team player with the ability to learn, as well as have a solution-oriented approach and prefer to work in an international and intercultural environment
- Excellent command of the Greek and English languages
- Experience as a Project Manager with a corresponding track record of managing small/medium-sized, cross-functional global projects in a fast moving and agile project environment
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in IT, Engineering or similar natural sciences field.
