The Role:
We're seeking a talented and experienced ghost writer to join our dynamic book creation team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our lead journalist and Publishing Editor, to convert interview transcripts and research material into engaging and compelling long-format written content.
If you have an innate ability to tell a story, craft captivating narratives, and turn complex ideas into understandable and relatable prose, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with our journalist and Publishing Editor to understand the project requirements and to create a comprehensive content plan.
Transcribing, summarizing, and rephrasing interview transcripts into a cohesive and engaging narrative, aligning with the project's objectives and target audience.
Conduct additional research, if required, to substantiate the information gathered from the interviews and provide depth to the content.
Maintaining the voice and perspective of the subject throughout the book, ensuring a consistent narrative flow.
Reviewing and editing the manuscript to ensure it is free from errors, inconsistencies, and redundancies.
Meeting strict deadlines and delivering high-quality work consistently.
Upholding strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements (NDA) regarding the client's identity and project details.
Demonstrate an open-minded approach to leveraging AI as a writing tool to enhance proficiency and productivity, ensuring a willingness to explore and utilize AI-driven solutions for improved writing outcomes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a ghostwriter, with a portfolio of completed works.
Excellent command of the English language and outstanding writing skills.
Exceptional editing, proofreading, and formatting skills.
Ability to translate complex ideas and information into engaging and understandable content. Proficiency in writing under the guidelines of Narrative Non-Fiction and or Expository Writing styles is preferred.
Writing versatility to maintain the voice, style, and tone of the subject consistently throughout the book.
Preference given to candidates with strong backgrounds in science and research, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex scientific concepts and effectively interpreting research findings.
Professional experience or academic background in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field is a plus.
