As a Camera Operator, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of our services to UEFA Champions League matches.
As a Camera Operator, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of our services to UEFA Champions League matches.
You will be responsible for operating our camera in the Tactical position on the gantry, working with our Football Operations team to provide a Coaching/Tactical feed to our stakeholders. You will be expected to follow the provided filming instructions, ensuring the correct number of players are in shot for certain scenarios.
We will equip you with the technical training and support to perform your day-to-day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
You will be provided with all camera hardware and peripherals.
You will be expected to arrive at the stadium around two hours before kick-off and will leave the site around one hour after the final whistle. These times could be flexible. Hawk-Eye will pay all reasonable travel expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
- Liaising with the Hawk-Eye team and stadium staff on-site
- Operating camera systems during the match
- Managing colour balance, exposure, etc, throughout the match
- Maintaining a constant field of view, in accordance with agreed standards
- Monitoring hardware performance, being able to troubleshoot and report any encountered issues
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Prior experience operating cameras in a live sporting environment
- Ideally, experience filming with a wide-angle lens
- Good skills and knowledge of setting up and operating a range of professional camera systems
- Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
- Time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, live broadcast environment
- Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
- Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dedicated by the fixture list and can change at short notice
- Willingness to travel internationally (EU)
- Right to live and work in your country of application
- Working proficiency in English
