Customer Service Advisor [United Kingdom]


 

One of the UK’s leading exporters of food and drink produce, exporting an exceptional product range to businesses worldwide is currently on the look-out for a Commercial Manager to join our team.

Job Purpose: Customer Service Advisors is responsible for providing first point of contact resolution to customers through all access channels for all enquiries and provide professional advice and assistance relating to the delivery of the organisation's services.
Customer Service Advisors will support Sales team offering excellent customer service to ensure the demands of our clients are fulfilled to the highest possible standards, but also Support and work closely with other departments to deliver consistently high standards.

Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Responsibilities:

- Work as a team to ensure any queries from clients and Sales Managers are resolved promptly, whilst ensuring that the sales team procedures are followed at all times.

- Ensure that air and sea orders are uploaded and invoiced efficiently and in a timely manner.

- Be proactive to ensure that forms are up to date or adjusted where necessary, checking for any anomalies such as poor margins and unavailable lines.

- Monitor sales orders from start to finish, working with buying team and warehouse to ensure that the order is shipped to the client on time and fulfilled.

- Prepare quotations to an agreed standard and have a good understanding of
the background behind the quote in terms of inco terms, margins and
supplier.

- Ensure that all order requirements are completed before the shipment is due to leave and consignment documentation is sent to the client within the agreed timescales.

- Liaising with the relevant Sales Manager to ensure claims are resolved in a timely manner.

- Prioritising job list, being able to recognise what are the urgent tasks and understand why client or sales manager needs this information quickly.

- Maintaining appropriate levels of attendance, ensuring that procedure is followed for any absence, working extra hours to complete tasks if required.

- Establishing and maintaining an excellent level of teamwork, not only within the sales team but also the company as a whole. Being approachable, helpful and able to support teams and staff.

- Developing relationships with clients and responding to their requests

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills, confident both on phone and email
  • Excellent Customer Service and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative to pick up tasks when needed
  • Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
  • Experience minimum 1 year in a highly administrative role
