    • Must be able to teach biology class in the DCSD high school curriculum
    • Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school.
    • Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere. This person will have responsibilities within the building as part of a committee and as part of a
    data team
    • Must be willing to participate in building professional development initiatives concentrating on climate and culture (fidelity of building wide PBIS)
    and supporting building goals.
    • This position also includes the responsibility of teaching MTSS (intervention) and one advisory section.
    • Must be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic standards for all students.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Successful candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.

    Physical Requirements of Position:(HBV ? Yes ? No)
    ? Must be able lift/push/pull 50 lbs
    ? Must be able to walk up and down stairs

    ? Experience with the 4 Block schedule and related strategies is desired
    ? Willingness to accept supervisory duties that are conducive to positive building environment
    ? Willing to participate in all building and district workshops
